Rumors have been circulating for some time that Apple is developing a foldable iPhone and a foldable iMac/iPad hybrid. Now, it seems both devices could be set to launch in 2026.
A report from analyst Jeff Pu, shared by 9to5Mac, says that both devices are expected to launch in 2026. The foldable iPad/iMac hybrid will likely come first, with a release date in Q2 2026, while the foldable iPhone may arrive later in late 2026.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a foldable iPhone for 2026. Last month, a leak mentioned that it might have a clamshell design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, Apple’s biggest challenge seems to be fixing the crease in the display.
We’ve also been hearing about a foldable iMac/iPad for a while. If you’re interested in foldable laptops running MacOS or iPadOS, keep an eye out for this product.
That said, it’s best not to get your hopes up just yet. Apple is still in the early development stages, and there’s a chance these devices might not be released at all. In the meantime, we will continue to do our best to contain our excitement in the office.
