Shot entirely on the new iPhone 15 Pro, Apple recently unveiled “Suerte,” a new short film following singer-songwriter Iván Cornejo.
In the film, Cornejo journeys on a heartwarming adventure to Mexico, seeking inspiration for a new hit. His song “Intercambio Injusto” features prominently, and a full soundtrack is available on Apple Music.
Apple’s powerful iPhone 15 Pro Max, sporting a 48-megapixel main camera and offering a powerful 5x optical zoom, captured the stunning visuals in Suerte. Apple also unveiled a companion ‘Behind the Scenes’ featurette, where directing duo Cliqua share the secrets behind capturing the magic on iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Surprisingly, many scenes in “Suerte” were shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max alone, showcasing its impressive low-light capabilities. The directors praised the phone’s Cinematic Mode, which keeps the focus on the subject even during movement.
The film also utilized the 5x Telephoto zoom for close-up shots, while log encoding enabled richer color grading in post-production (both features are available for ProRes video). Continuing its tradition of showcasing iPhone camera prowess, Apple is showcasing its iPhones’ camera capabilities through impressive films.
