Apple’s WWDC 2024 tease of new content for Apple TV+, including returning seasons of Severance, Silo, and Pachinko, seems to be paying off. The platform’s US market share grew by 1% last quarter.
According to a JustWatch report shared with 9to5Mac, this brings their total share to 9%, up from 8% in Q1, inching closer to Hulu with a 10% share and Disney+ with an 11% share. While the pace might seem gradual, the figures are very positive for Apple.
So far, the US streaming wars remain heated, with Amazon Prime Video and Netflix grappling for dominance. Both hold a 22% market share, but JustWatch reports that Prime Video is struggling to maintain its lead, while Netflix shows slight growth.
