After a delay of more than a month, Apple is finally ready to launch the iPhone Air—its slimmest iPhone ever—in China.
During September’s “Awe Dropping” Apple Event, the company announced that global preorders for the iPhone Air would begin on Friday, September 12. Yet, when the date arrived, one major market was noticeably missing from the list: China.
China was originally slated to join the global launch, but Apple was forced to postpone the rollout after facing setbacks in securing Chinese regulatory approval for its eSIM technology.
Now, over a month later, the company is set to begin iPhone Air preorders in the region. Following rumors from Jiemian and an announcement by Tim Cook, sales will open in mainland China on Friday, October 17, at 9:00 a.m. local time.
