As college students head to school this fall, many are relying on Macs and iPad to manage their demanding coursework and projects. From studying organic chemistry to creating digital art, these tools are essential to student success due to their durability, portability, and performance.

With the introduction of Apple Intelligence this fall, students will get access to new or enhanced capabilities like powerful generative models that prioritize privacy. This innovation promises to reshape how students interact with their devices, making study sessions more efficient and content creation smoother.

Brayden Gogis, a junior at Taylor University, relies on his MacBook Air for everything from designing machines in AutoCAD to developing apps in Xcode. “The MacBook Air is essential for all my academic tasks, offering new possibilities that help me excel,” says Gogis. His experience reflects a broader trend identified by Futuresource Consulting, which found that 65 percent of students consider their field of study a significant factor in choosing their primary tech tool.

At Touro University California, second-year medical student Yoora Jung uses her iPad Air and Apple Pencil to take notes and organize lecture materials. The upcoming Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools excite her the most, as they promise to enhance her study efficiency by generating summaries and assisting in note revision.

Another dedicated Apple user, Anuj Pachhel from Government Medical College in Nagpur, appreciates the MacBook Pro for its long battery life and powerful performance, essential for his medical studies. “I’ve loaded my e-books on my Mac, and I’m impressed by its speed and reliability,” he shares.

Apple’s ecosystem offers seamless integration across devices, a boon for students like Brayden Gogis, who use features like Handoff and Universal Clipboard to stay organized amidst a hectic schedule. “The continuity across my Apple devices helps keep my academic life streamlined, even when I’m on the go,” Gogis adds.

This school year, as students like Gogis return to campus, they are well-equipped with Mac and iPad, ready to tackle any challenge their educational paths might present.

New Resources to Assist Students

Apple has introduced new resources to assist students in finding the ideal laptop. These include a new Today at Apple session, available at local Apple Stores, and the “Help me choose” service online. Students can also consult with specialists in stores or online to tailor features and apps to their academic goals and budget. For more details, visit an Apple Store or the Apple Education Store online.
