Apple TV+ reveals first look at new documentary event “K-Pop Idols” featuring global K-pop superstars Jessi, CRAVITY and BLACKSWAN, to premiere on August 30

Today, Apple TV+ announced a new six-episode documentary called “K-Pop Idols” and shared a first look at the series, which will premiere globally on August 30, 2024. “K-Pop Idols” gives fans a backstage pass to the world of K-pop, featuring popular artists Jessi, CRAVITY, and BLACKSWAN.

The series shows both the glamour and the hard work of K-pop stardom. Jessi, CRAVITY, and BLACKSWAN put everything into their performances, aiming for perfection. Over six episodes, viewers will follow their challenges and successes as they push cultural and musical boundaries with passion, creativity, and determination while chasing their dreams.

K-Pop Idols” is produced for Apple TV+ by Boat Rocker’s Matador Content. Emmy Award-winning executive producers Todd Lubin (“Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry”) and Jack Turner (“War Game”) are joined by Jay Peterson (“Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry”), Bradley Cramp (“Lord of War”), Chris Kasick (“Citizen Sleuth”), Eric Yujin Kim (“Undoing”), Sue Kim (“The Speed Cubers”), and Elise Chung (“Bling Empire”).

Apple TV+ offers premium drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, and kids and family entertainment. It is available on all your favorite screens. Launched on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ became the first all-original streaming service to launch worldwide. It has premiered more original hits and received more award recognitions faster than any other streaming service in its debut.
