According to analyst Mark Gurman, Apple is gearing up to launch two new AirPods models as early as next month. These new models will replace the current AirPods 2 and 3.

The first model will likely be a budget-friendly option, succeeding the AirPods 2. It’s expected to keep a similar design but may skip features like active noise cancellation (ANC) to keep costs down. The second model will take over from the AirPods 3, offering a mid-tier option that includes ANC.

Apple won’t update the AirPods Pro this year; the next version, set for 2025, will bring a new design, a new chip, and possibly health features. This will be the third iteration since the AirPods Pro debuted in 2018.

Both new AirPods models are expected to feature USB-C charging, which is in line with Apple’s shift from Lightning. Apple also seems to be exploring more budget-friendly options, like the rumored Apple Vision “Lite.”

Apple hasn’t confirmed the names yet. Possible names like AirPods Lite and AirPods 4 have been mentioned, but Apple might choose something entirely different. Next month will be exciting in tech with the expected release of the iPhone 16 series. Stay tuned for more.
