Earlier this year, a report from CIRP showed that the adoption of the iPhone 15 lineup in the US was below what Apple saw with the iPhone 14 devices. Now, CIRP’s Q2 data indicates that demand for the iPhone 15 lineup has weakened further.
In Q1 2024, iPhone 15 devices accounted for 68% of total US iPhone sales, down 7% from the iPhone 14’s 75% share in Q1 2023.
For Q2 2024, the difference between iPhone 15 and 14 adoption has grown. Between April and June, the iPhone 15 lineup made up 67% of total US iPhone sales, marking a 1% decline from Q1.
In Q2 2023, the iPhone 14 lineup accounted for 79% of US iPhone sales, a 4% increase from Q1 2023. This means that in their respective launch years, the iPhone 15 has seen a 12% lower adoption rate compared to the iPhone 14.
