Recently, Apple and Formula 1® announced a five-year deal to bring all F1 races exclusively to Apple TV in the U.S., beginning next year.

This partnership follows the huge success of their Apple Original Film, F1 The Movie, now the highest-grossing sports movie ever. United by a dedication to fan experience, the deal looks set to expand Formula 1’s already rapidly growing audience in the U.S.

Apple TV subscribers will get full coverage of Formula 1, including every practice, qualifying, Sprint session, and Grand Prix. A few races and all practice sessions will also be free in the Apple TV app during the season. Apple will promote the sport across Apple News, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple Fitness+. The free Apple Sports app for iPhone will give live updates for every event, with real-time leaderboards, standings, and widgets.

F1 TV Premium will continue in the U.S., accessible only through an Apple TV subscription, and will be free for subscribers.

“We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with F1 and offer our U.S. subscribers front-row access to one of the most exciting sports on the planet,” said Apple’s Eddy Cue. “2026 starts a new era for Formula 1, and we look forward to delivering innovative coverage in a way only Apple can.”

Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “This is an exciting partnership that will help us maximize our growth in the U.S. We share a vision to deliver this sport to our fans and bring in new ones through live broadcasts and a year-round approach.”

More details on production and product updates will arrive in the months ahead.

The record-breaking F1 The Movie will debut for streaming on Apple TV on December 12, 2025. Since its theatrical release, the film has earned $629 million globally, standing as this year’s highest-grossing original feature.

F1 is one of the world’s fastest-growing leagues. Its U.S. fan base reached 52 million in 2024, with over 47 percent of new fans aged 18-24 and over half female.
