Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 remake is set to launch on Apple devices on December 10, marking it as the fourth Resident Evil game available on Apple’s mobile platforms. Players can download a free trial version, with the full game available for purchase.
Though the price isn’t confirmed, it’s expected to fall between $19.99 and $59.99, based on other Resident Evil games on the App Store.
The game’s story plunges Raccoon City into chaos after a deadly virus outbreak in September 1998, with flesh-eating zombies swarming the streets. Players can expect intense action, a thrilling storyline, and terrifying encounters as they relive Resident Evil 2.
Resident Evil 2 requires an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, or iPads and Macs with M1 chips or later. Cross-progression is supported, allowing players to continue their game seamlessly across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It will also be a universal purchase, giving access on all compatible Apple devices. Pre-registration is open on the App Store now, but note that the iPhone app will need 22.1GB of storage.
