While the iPhone 16 is almost here, some leakers are already looking ahead to the iPhone 17. According to the latest leak from FrontPageTech (via NotebookCheck), the most exciting rumor is about a new model called the iPhone 17 Slim or possibly the iPhone 17 Air.

FrontPageTech hints that this slimmer iPhone model could be named the iPhone 17 Air, a name that fits well with Apple’s existing iPad Air and MacBook Air lines, which are known for their slim designs. They have also shared some renders of the iPhone 17 Air, showing a design similar to current iPhones but noticeably thinner, with just one rear camera.

The iPhone 17 Air might use less titanium in its frame and could come with an A19 chipset, while the Pro models may get an A19 Pro chipset. This means the iPhone 17 Air might not have the top-tier performance of the Pro versions.

One of the most impressive features could be its thickness. The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be around 5mm thick. For comparison, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are 7.8mm thick, and the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are 8.3mm thick, making the iPhone 17 Air significantly slimmer.

The iPhone 17 Air may also have a 6.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,740, similar in size to the iPhone 15 Plus, which has a 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1,290 x 2,796.
