Apple is gearing up for one of its biggest software releases ever with iOS 18. A standout feature of this update is Apple Intelligence, a suite of new AI tools for iPhone, Mac, and iPad. While these AI features aren’t yet available in the developer or public betas, you might wonder when they will launch.

Here’s When Apple Intelligence Will Debut

Apple plans to preview Apple Intelligence for beta testers this summer. According to its developer website, the AI features will be part of an upcoming beta for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia.

While it’s likely that public beta users will eventually get access, the initial rollout may be limited to developers. Apple might release AI features first to developers and then to public beta testers later in the summer, or both groups might get access simultaneously.

Apple Intelligence Set for Public Release This Fall

Apple plans to release Apple Intelligence to all users this fall with iOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and iPadOS 18. While AI features might debut in a later update like iOS 18.1, the official release is set for fall. If included in the initial iOS 18 release, expect it in September; otherwise, it could be October or November.

When Apple Intelligence launches this fall, it will come with a ‘beta’ label. Even though it’s part of the main iOS, iPadOS, or macOS release, the ‘beta’ label indicates that Apple Intelligence might still have some quirks. It also means Apple knows there might be some bugs and issues to fix. Additionally, the label helps Apple manage expectations and gives them room to improve their AI tools.
