During GamesCom 2024, Netflix Games officially unveiled Squid Game: Unleashed, a new mobile multiplayer battle royale inspired by the viral Korean show Squid Game. The game places players in a brutal competition where they must outlast their opponents in deadly challenges, including those familiar from the series and new ones inspired by classic childhood games. Featuring ragdoll physics and cartoon violence, the game adds a playful twist to the intense gameplay.
Although a specific release date hasn’t been announced, Squid Game: Unleashed is expected to launch soon on mobile platforms through the Netflix Mobile App. This release is part of Netflix’s broader push into gaming, highlighted by the formation of its first in-house game studio in Helsinki, led by former Zynga and EA executive Marko Lastikka. Netflix has been expanding its game library with titles like Before Your Eyes and Into the Breach already available.
